Public Awareness Notice

The EMERGENCY PLANNING & COMMUNITY RIGHT-TO- KNOW ACT (EPCRA) requires that the following be made available to the public:

  • Chemical Emergency Response Plans
  • Material Safety Data Information (MSDS)
  • Follow-up Emergency Notice
  • Hazardous Materials Release & Inventory Reports (Tier II Forms)

THESE DOCUMENTS ARE REQUIRED BY LAW AND ARE AVAILABLE FOR YOUR REVIEW AT YOUR:

  • LOCAL EMERGENCY PLANNING COMMITTEE (LEPC)
  • The Kansas Commission on EMERGENCY RESPONSE (CEPR)

Your Local Emergency Planning Committee (LEPC) & the CEPR can provide:

  • Hazardous materials information to individuals
  • Planning support to local government
  • Hazardous materials training for public sector & volunteer responders
  • Compliance assistance to business and industry
