Case CU26/02, James E. Tuchscherer & Patsy Mae Heikkila, requesting a Conditional Use Permit to establish a composting operation on property zoned RA-1, has been continued by Land Use & Development staff in order to conduct additional review, and will now be considered Monday, August 10, 2026, at 6 pm at the Shawnee County North Annex, 1515 NW Saline St. Case packet details will be posted when available.

Shawnee County has implemented a ban prohibiting all Limited (Community Scale) and Commercial (Utility Scale) Wind Energy Conversion Systems and Projects in all Zoning District Classifications within the unincorporated portion of Shawnee County.
