Overview
Family Planning services are provided in order to assist in preventing or achieving pregnancy. These services are provided without regard to age, sex, religion, race, nationality, disability, number of pregnancies, marital status, sexual orientation, gender identity, and/or ability to pay. Shawnee County Health Department has language interpretation services available on site, at no cost to the client. Fees are based on a sliding scale. Parental involvement is encouraged but not required.

- Contraception/Birth control services
- STD screening and treatment
- Pregnancy testing and counseling
- Preconception counseling
- Basic infertility services
- Diagnosis and treatment for vaginal infections
- Testicular exam and self-exam instructions
Birth Control Services Provided:
- Oral contraceptive pills
- Hormonal patches
- Hormonal injections
- Hormonal implants
- Vaginal rings
- Hormonal IUD
- Copper IUD
- Emergency contraception pills
- Male and female condoms
- Fertility-based awareness methods
- Referral for male and female sterilization surgery
Fees for Services:
- Fees vary based on services
- A sliding scale will be applied to fees if income eligibility guidelines are met. If you would like to be considered for fee reduction, bring verification of income to your appointment.
