Kathleen has worked in public administration after receiving her Bachelor's in Business Administration degree in 2016. She has held various roles and has acquired experience in Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Procurement, Policy and Administration. In 2021, Kathleen graduated with a Master's in Business Administration from Kansas Wesleyan University. She has held various Leadership positions in her career and has completed several training opportunities, most recently the Emerging Leaders Academy hosted by the University of Kansas Public Management Center. She volunteers with different organizations in positions where she can flex her creative muscles, such as the Website Administrator for the Kansas Association for Public Purchasing Professionals.
Current Work
Kathleen is working to create and update policies and procedures to increase efficiencies across the Finance and Administrative Division. With several different areas of work including Accounting and Grant Management, Medical Coding and Billing, Procurement, and Medical Records, her team must work together and function as a high-performing unit. One of Kathleen's goals is to increase revenue for each Health Department program. From Home Visits and Clinical Services to Child Care Licensing and Environmental Health, the Health Department must contribute to the success of Shawnee County with an increase in Program Revenues.
