Requirements:

• 21 years of age or older
• Good health
• High School diploma or GED
• No record of felony or domestic violence conviction
• Good moral character
• Good credit history
• Valid driver's license
• U.S. Citizen
• Ability to complete examinations and interviews.

Physical Agility Test: includes plank, push-ups, running, vertical jump, trigger pull and ability to carry a specific amount of weight.

Written Examination: Each category requires a minimum of 70% to pass.

Interviews and Background Process: Includes background checks and in-person interviews with the Professional Standards Unit, Staff Review and Polygraph. Additional procedures will include an in-depth background check, drug screening, physical and psychological testing and a personal interview with the Sheriff.
